Hello can anyone help me? I have a J reg ford Fiesta Flight and I have bought a shark Professional Expandable Car Alarm with Battery Backup Facility which has a grounded when armed wire which say it can be connected to an central locking interface but as I have seen you can uses relays to lock/unlock the central locking can anyone help me with this? I am not an expert with electronics but I know what I am doing some of the time.

Thankyou

why not install an actuator in the drivers door so when the alarm is armed/disarmed it will lock/unlock the driver door thus locking/unlocking all doors?

an actuator is another name for a door lock motor.
if you install one and operate it from the alarm, then it will in turn operate the rest of your door locks.....

Is there an easier way of doing it? Like using the existing motor and connecting the alarm to it? How does central locking work (the technical side of it?) Is there always a voltage going to it because i can't get my head around connecting the 12v ground to the drivers door motor because when the alarms armed will it say lock the central locking then burn the motor out? HELP???? I will have to strip the front of the door and test what voltages i get when locked and unlocked.

thankyou

My brother says it a 1992 j. I took apart the drivers door and i am sure the first connecter RED / yellow is 12v constant and brown is constant ground. On the second connector the white and yellow wires change polarity when locked then back when unlocked.
