This is because there is a dead short inside of the amplifier, it has nothing to do with your wiring. The amp needs to go to the old Pioneer home in the sky or if you prefer, a service shop. More than likely it is not worth fixing. We all have bad days, sounds like someone who was trying to help you was having one of those, don't mind it, Kevin is extremely helpful. I get that way sometimes as well, but I usually can take it out on my staff with a chain or on Monday nights at road hockey or Tuesday at volleyball. Mind you I nailed a hot chick really bad last week, bought her supper later on, things are looking up......
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

Does the fuse blow as soon as you plug it in or only when you remote the amp on??

blown FETs in the power supply if the fuse blows as soon as you put it in... blown outputs if the fuse only blows when you remote the amp on.... both scenarios, you've got a problem in the amp....

i wont speculate on whether it's worth fixing or not, but it's probably worth springing the diagnostic charge to have a qualified service shop at least look at it......
