2003 silverado remote start, keyless entry

just wondering where do i connect the blue wire from the 557l module,also cant find the bcm,beneath the stering colum i can see one but it has only five plugs and on the wiring diagram it says it has six,also on the 456g  where does the data bus output connect too also input from remote start

its  a dei,ok i was looking for the b.c.m but cant find a module with six plugs only on with five,medium size black box under the steering colum

that is the bcm

databus connectson the obd2 connector on the underdash at least 6 inches back from the connector that is for door locks the only thing you grab at the bcm is door triggers i think that module is an old remotestart add on ?? well good luck

If you're refering to the blue/black (-) status input on the 555L then you connect it to the (-) status output of the Directed remote start system. This wire is blue or blue/black also. The BCM (Body Control Module) is under the driver side dash. It has 6 plugs in it, the purple plug is on the back. I'm going to try to copy/paste the vehicle info for your vehicle in this reply. Hope it works...

  • DON'T go near yellow SRS airbag looms. Don't touch them! Cutting or probing these wires may cause unintentional airbag deployment, electrical system damage or injury.
  • DON'T use any other testing tools besides the digital multimeter. No test lights!
  • Use of a test light may cause unintentional deployment of vehicle airbag, electrical system damage or injury.
  • DON'T crimp. Please solder all connections. Sound connections are required for proper unit functioning.
  • Run your wires away from all moving parts and heat sources.
  • Read the entire manual and watch the entire video before starting.
  • Run wires only through holes that have rubber grommets. Failure to comply may compromise wire insulation integrity.
  • Use a ring terminal for ground.
  • DON'T ground to a factory bolt - refer to the manual for proper grounding.

Notes for this item : On base model trucks the door trigger wires are in the lt. blue plug at the BCM, pins B4 and A5. On 4dr trucks the LR door trigger is lt. blue/black, pin A3, and the RR is lt. GREEN/ black, pin A2. They are in the purple plug at the BCM. Use all wires and diode isolate.

Ok,Has anyone tried this i was thinking if with the a remote start when one that you can connect the auxiliry chanel to rev up the engine due to the new silverado have electric throtle plate.if so has anyone done this i think it would be real cool

the only problem i see with that (that is if i clearly understand what your trying to say is.....) most remote start units are designed to shut down if it sees a tach signal much stonger than that orignally programed. know what i mean?
