I am going to be making a fiberglass box for 2 12" subs, and 4 amps this summer for my 1997 pathfinder, just my only delema is that i want it to be removable in about an hour, , but it must look like 1 complete box as much as possible.

I was thinking make everything out of mdf, like a skeliton, and have over lapping piece's with hidden screw holes, , then glass each piece separatly???

It wont need to be super structureally sound cuz i will be making the sub enclosure out of mdf sealed on its own.

Not really getting the picture..but its pretty simple to make a removable sub enclosure..and filler panels..and still have it look like one piece.
Maybe go into more detail on what you want it to look like

i was thinking the same issue. as i am getting ready to f/b my trunk...i thought...what about my spare tire, etc. im driving the car on a daily basis...

what i was thinking of was similar to what Defective has in this forum

:How to make removable fiberglass panels? -- posted image.

basically an outline of the trunk, but instead add rubber on the edges of the mdf/fiberglass and rubber on the outline of the trunk (so when the 2 meet, its a tight seal). i figure if i pop my tire, lift the whole entire box area out and have enough slack in the wires so i can unplug them. (as for my idea the amps + subs will still stay attached to the enclosure). i think for my idea itll take less then 2 minutes. it'll have to be a lot of planning + very accurate measuring to accomplish this as i don't want my enclosure to pop out of place while driving.

this idea is for the whole trunk compartment to be f/b like Defective has.

if any1 else has ideas pls post.

Like, i wan't to be able to take it out in a hour or 2.  I'll make the sub box out of mdf, then make a fiberglass cover to make it look like a fiberglass enclosure, then a panel on each side of the box running to the back of the truck on each side.

I'll try to draw up a pic of what i mean.

Cool, thanks guy!    Anywho, as you can see i have 3 pieces their, what i want to do is be able to remove parts 2 and 3 , then get to the box part 1, and remove that too.

I was thinking bolts through the floor for the main box ( part 1), then some kind of interlocking idea so i can slide parts 2 and 3 to fit snug up against the main box.

I need all this to be removable for when my bro takes my truck and fills it full of his school supplys and moves outa town for the school year, , i get the truck back the next week obvioulsy.    Also, in the winter i don't like a intesnse system, , so this may be a warm weather only thing.
