Hi I was wondering if any body could help me in the way of setting my amp levels. I am a true newbie and this stuff gets confusing. Waht I am workingwith is 2 sony xplod xm-2165gtx amps. I am running one sony xplod xs-l121p5 12" sub. 4 ohms on each amp.

I just need help setting the level, filter and low boost.

level:6, 5.5, 4, 2, .5, 0.3v

low boost 0-10 db

filter: 50, 60, 110, 170, 260, 300

i know this is a lot to ask but any help would be appreciated.

Depends on your head unit for the level.  What head unit do you have?

Keep the low boost at 0.

Filter should be at 60 or 110.  Probably 110 as I'm guessing you don't have any dedicated midbass drivers.

K.  It will probably be between 2-4.  See this page for a how-to:  http://www.bcae1.com/gaincon2.htm

Is this a dual voice coil sub?  And are you planning to wire each coil to a separate amp?  Tell me I'm misunderstanding, please.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Ack.  I didn't see that.  A different amp for each voice coil isn't a good idea.

Not more than one amp per subwoofer.  If the signals are at all different you'll break your sub.
