Okay, so we finally finished installing my alarm today....kind of... The thing is, we didn't get everything to work. It took us forever to find the right wires for the doorlocks for keyless entry and like the stupid door trigger junk doesn't work. My car's up and running and everything but sh*t....this sucks. I mean, you pay a fortune for the alarm and everything and it sucks when you don't get all the benefits.

Anyways, I was planning on taking it to a shop but this is what I got so far.  This guy wants $485 to install the alarm because he said there are a whole bunch of features and that it would take the whole day.  So I take it to a different shop and he said he'd do it for $200 and I asked him about the "additional features" and he was confused.  So I go to Circuit City and they said they'd do it for $160.  I asked them about the features as well and they said that the 791 is just a regular alarm with the capability of additional features.  So I'm like so was this guy just trying to rip me off and they're like yeah.

So here is my question....who's telling the truth???  I kinda believed the guy because he ran his own shop and said he was certified so I was thinking he'd probably know more.  But damn, two other places were like it's just a regular alarm so I'm just confused now.  Maybe since the guy ran his own shop, that's more of a reason to like rip me off....I don' t know...  Let me know what you guys think....thanks....

What part didt u get hook up yet. door tigger is a RED / green with silver dots.
As for have a shop install it. DO NOT TAKE IT TO CIRCUIT CITY! not all are bad. $485 just to install, hell with that. Oh you said "planning"
Beside the problems that you have came into with, you want to kept installing and learn more form it. Im not sure how long it took me to do my very first alarm, but took almost all day i do know that. but i enjoyed it, and sevel years later still doing it.

No, the $485 is from a stand-alone guy.  Circuit City wants $160.
