tcool,

If the 900mhz remote is finicky do you think I'm better off staying with the SS model?  Compustar offered to get me their new 900mhz remotes and swap them for the SS remotes I have.

Also, have u tested the one way remotes 900mhz vs. SS to see if there was a range difference?

Thanks

The SS is pretty finicky, too. My personal belief is that it is a lot of circuits to be banging around in my pocket all day. The 900 has better range than every other alarm on the market but one- the SS. The difference is not much when you consider how far away you're talking about. I had the SS in my personal vehicle for 2 years and went to the 900. I would go with the 900.

Tcool,

Thanks.  My dealer said that they weren't shipping him anymore SS models.  Maybe they are re-tooling the remotes.  Tonight I was at a concerts and I was able to start my car form inside the venue.  That is pretty wild.  Too bad that the remotes are so buggy.

What prompted you to go from the SS to the 900mhz version?  Is the remote a lot smaller or about the same size?

The remotes are a little smaller, and has the extra features I mentioned earlier in this post. I don't know about Compustar not shipping any more SS models, that doesn't sound right. I'll call tomorrow and find out.
