I heard that the door locks are a pain in the A&& is this true and how do they work?

All 2003 trucks and SUVs including the Hummer H2 are now Class2 just like the 2002 Envoy, TrailBlazer and Bravada. Vehicles with Bose have a Class2 amplifier which is controlled by data.  Currently we have a SWI-X steering wheel audio control interface that works and are have an interface for replacing the stock radio with an aftermarket one and still retain OnStar®. At the same time we will have a doorlock interface with bulit in window roll up/down feature with a door trigger output. Karl

No it's the Direct Electronics ( out of Canada ). It's for the ( GMDL4 ) - GMC Pick Up 2003 &  Yukon Denali 2003. They Are $ 55.00 USD for this bypass.

I too am looking for the newest interfaces as "remote-start season" is already kicked into gear at our store.  As a faithful user of DEI interfaces 555U, 555F, ect.....on our remote-start systems, I am yet to hear if DEI has any new pieces coming out for the 2002 and newer vehicles, I am wondering if anybody else has heard anything?  I was told that DEI had a new transponder adapter coming out for GM vehicles that did not require you to have an extra key, as in the past.  I have ordered a few of the peripheral pieces for interfacing with the locking systems in the newer vehicles (DLGM 1-4) but havent really had much chance to try them out yet to see how they work.  Isn't  it just wonderful how they keep making things tougher and tougher to work on. I would just love to work on those mid-90's vehicles again...things were so much simpler then!  This will be my eighth year of installing remote-start systems and I am thankful for every year of experience I have under my belt, because if I was a young installer having to dive into one of these newer vehicles without the experience that I do have, I think I would be very intimidated.  We currenty use 3 wiring information sources in our store before we start an installation...and it is amazing even the discrepencies that there are between them for finding the same wires in a given vehicle.  I can't emphasize enough to younger installers how important it is to research each and every vehicle in detail before you start it...and to check each and every wire with a digital multimeter before  tying into it.  Beware of these newer vehicles.....One litlle mistake could be a very costly one.The Radiodr, Autosound Solutions Inc.
