The one thing I am not taking into account is the way you are turning the inverter on with the key. You should have a relay set up for this as well.As far as turning the relay off, it depends on the alarm. I know on dei you can program the output to be latched with ignition reset, alarm will turn the relay off when the ignition is activated. So if that is how your alarm is set up then you are set.If you wire the relay the way I said earlier I don't see any complications that would put your inverter in harm.
