Yeah my redline is right around 6500 but it sucks cause my final drive ratio blows. VW dint account for ppl who swap out crap for performance parts on there 2.0 L engine models.

Yeah, MB did a great job with the gear ratios in the 4 speed 722 automatic. Do you have shorter wheels and tires than stock? That would definitely affect your final drive gear ratio.

Nah, if nething the overall size is bigger in diameter. I ottienger 18's paired with some Kuhmo Ecstas (not sure what size), but they fill the wheel well with just enough room to spare.

Wasn't your oil temperature a bit high when you were going 150mhp in that picture?  Is that how it normally runs?

You would not need near that much. I would estimate 1 bulk pak/36sq ft of Dynamat Xtreme. Anything else, get 70sqft.

FYI:One bulk pak of Dynamat -X weighs 90lbs

A bulk pack of Dynamat Xtreme doesn't weigh anywhere near 90 lbs.  A bulk pack contains 9 18" x32" sheets.  There is no way a sheet of that size weights 10lbs.  I lifted 90 lb dumbells in the gym today and handled a bulk pack a few weeks ago.  They aren't even close.  Maybe you made a typo? ;-)

I don't know what I was thinking.  1 bulk pak is about 30-50lbs.  I'll be picking up 3 bulk paks next week for installs so I'll post the exact weight then.

Hurtado, did you mean my oil pressure? It is always at 3 bar when driving. When idling it sits a little lower.

Are you sure that's the symbol for oil pressure?  Whatever it is I don't think it should be at the max but you were pushing your car to its limits.

Does the weight to the sound dampening material differ significantly with brand?  I can't accurally recall what the 100sq. ft. from e-bay weighed but it did feel like it was more than 30lbs.

B-quiet specifies on e-bay to be 0.3lbs/sq.ft.

Black Mat     .56 lb./ft²

Dynamat     .45 lb./ft²

Brown Bread     .40 lb./ft²
