Hi Guy I a pair of 5'1/2" pioneer speakers with  kicker tweeter going into kicker passive xovers buy the feet and evertime I turn up the volume the fuse inside the passive xover lights up it will not blow but you can see flames inside of it. I thought it could be a hazard issue. Can anyone tell me why this is happening.

It is lighting up because it is a light and not a fuse. You are clipping the signal going to it.

If you are running an amplifier turn down your gains.  The lighting of the bulb means that your system is sending distortion to you tweeters.  The bulb is taking the distortion and making us usable energy and protecting your light.

Fuseblower is right.  The crossover uses the light to change exess power, heat, wich degrades sound quality, and turns it into light.

Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only changed.
