Im making my own bypass unit out of a spair transponder chip and an extra ford transponder antena

you cannot do this with fords system as the PATS module is built into the key cylinder.
the easiest thing to do is take your PATS key, wrap 6-8 turns of 22-26awg wire around the top half of the key and leave a 12" pair of pigtails.
Next, make an antenna ring out of 8 turns of 22-26awg wire big enough to go around the key cylinder.
wire a relay
85- 12V
86- ground out while running
30. one of the pigtails from key
87- one of the pigtails from your antenna
join the remaining two pigtails together.
