Bassbox enclosure design

Searching for more enclosure design/fabrication help I found Bassbox 6 and started designing from there. I really like this software because it has many box designs to pick from, an "optimum" button calculates everything needed to reach a 0.707 Qtc, Damping option, voice coil configuration and driver wiring options, bracing displacement, and a parts list printout of the project with cut sheets for the enclosure pieces. It also has a section for acoustic properties in a car. Ok this is sounding like I work there now but check it out if you build enclosures it might help. Winisd is a great program but I feel limited in some aspects of design. I haven't done a thourough comparison but I used Bassbox for the enclosure I'm building now for 2 kicker compvr 12's. Winisd calculated that they needed about 6cuft/chamber in a sealed enclosure for Otc to be 0.707. I know Qtc isn't everything, but I wasn't sure how these subs could sound good in 1.0cuft up to a 4.6cuft/chamber box as recommended by kicker. So after entering in all T/S parameters and enclosure data and THIS is what I got. I'm about 1/2 done with the box. Now to see if this design works! I'll post pics up soon.

For 130 bucks I will stick with winisd. Hell for 130 dollars I will write my own damn program that will calculate enclosures to .707-1.1Qtc. By the way, here is the link he tried to post.Certified Security Specialist

Anyway I had found a download for bassbox just searching for stuff online. It costs $130? I haven't even checked the website for info yet. You can't download a demo at least? If you didn't notice the corrected link from auex here: Bassbox Results Also the FRD Consortium has some great free software and spreadsheet programs for excel such as Unibox. You can also find nifty Mathcad worksheets if you have that software.

Ok. I screwed up and split my 3/4" mdf on one panel thanks to the precise cutting genuis at Home Depot. I know they don't promise anything but I don't have a tablesaw to cut a 49x97" sheet bymyself. I was putting in a screw to tighten a small gap on the top of the back panel where it meets a side and yep...crrrrkkkk. Tried sanding and minor trimming with jigsaw but no luck getting an exact cut. Should I start over? I have the bottom, 2 sides, and now this back panel glued. Can you even separate the wood after the wood glue dries? I'm not as much worried about the split as I am with trying to force that gap to close and seal without stressing it. Any suggestions?
