Hey guys,

Almost finished with the install into my '89 240sx.  Trying to figure out the best place to put the antenna so it gets good reception but is still inconspicuous.  Right now it's under my dash, and the reception is crap.  The clifford site called it the "windshield-mount superheterodyne receiver,"  but there doesn't seem to be a good spot for it on my windshield, and I'd prefer not to have a wire trailing the antenna back to the brain out in the open.   Any ideas?

Just wondering how this alarm would work with an aftermarket turbo timer.  I know the matrix has it built in, but any ideas on how it could interface with an aftermarket timer?

Put it at the center, very top of the windshield. Run the wire through the pillar.

I put mine right behind the mirror on the windshield and tucked the wire into the headliner and ran it down the pillar to the brain box.

you have to get that antenna up high and unobstructed if you want this unit to work properly....

either way, you have to leave the atenna in the openning to get the best range.

On the last legs of a Matrix 3.5 install into my '89 240sx.  My car has 1 ignition and 2 starter wires (primary and cold).  The alarm has 2 ignition and 1 starter connections.  I know I need to use a relay to connect the 2 starter wires to the alarm, but what about the 2nd ignition?  Can I just splice that wire with the accessory wire?

just cut the second ignition wire on the 3.5[should be pink/white stripe]and cap or tape it off and use a jumper from the starter wire [purple]on the 3.5  to activate a relay for the second starter.

In program menu 3 you have a step where you can program how long your trubo short run is.  The alarm does the rest.
Do it right the first time
