2000 lhs

I got the wiring diagram for a 2000 Chrysler LHS off the site the other day. It says that the door trigger is located in the driver's kickpanel. There are two yellow wires in that vicinity and I don't get a reaction from either one when the doors are closed. Anyone know whats wrong? Also, does anyone know if the car's door locks are a negative or positive trigger?

The YELLOW wire is In a brown connector at the rear of the fuse box. It's a (-) trigger when doors are open. 12 + when doors are closed.

Locks are positive trigger through resistors.  Use 2.7K (2700) ohms for lock and 620 ohms for unlock. If your unit has positive output just install the resistors, but if it's a negative trigger type output you need two relays wired to reverse polarity.

Please post the your relay configuration for the two relays that you use. It's probably a crossed wire or just a simple ground where power should be. The two relays should look like this:

Yes, the Chrysler has a single wire door lock/unlock system. That's why you need the resistors because the resistance is what causes the doors to lock or unlock.

You can also tap your alarm's regular negative-pulse lock/unlock wires into the factory relays.  This also allows you to do two-stage "driver's priority" unlocking.  These relays are in a row of three, at the bottom of the fuse box.

But does your LHS have a factory alarm?  Many do.  If so, make sure you're using the resistance wire that also arms and disarms the factory alarm.
