how to replace radio in 1997 dodge?

i am going to be replacing a factory system in a dodge 97 and want to know how do I go about taking the factory system out and putting in a new radio.seeing how the factory system is set up. I have done mostly older cars.thanx

also when you put in a aftermarket radio you do you need a harness in a 97 ford taurus or can you go direct

u need the "din" tools for ford, they look like a big U and i wouldnt recommend you cut wires. Always go with the aftermarket harness, your just asking for trouble if you cut the factory plug
