Im about to start installing my alarm into my 4runner and wanted to ask if the factory alarm will need to be either disabled or uninstalled? I found the module underneith my seat. Im thinking i can use alot of those wires to tap into for the install. Also im a little confused on the starter kill I have an fm2009 alarm and it already was wired into a car. So there are some relays already but im not quite sure i know what im doing. If someone could just help me with the wiring i would be ready to go.

1994 4 runner

Please help!!

About to finish my install on my 4runner and just doing some research on either to go tachless or install the tach cable. The directions i have found tell me its a black cable at the diags box. I checked and its inside of like 2 differect heat shrink covers. I can take that off but is it worth it?

Please assist. Thanks

Tach is the only tried and true method to ensure a consistent RS, each time.

Got my alarm finally installed but i have noticed that the siren is not working. I took this alarm out of another car that i didnt install. I found that they are using a relay for the siren. Is that needed?

Its an fm2009 alarm. Please help. Thanks

Probably used relays because it had more than a couple of sirens hooked up to the siren wire. Check the output of the siren wire to see if your getting a current from it.

If you just use one, then you don't need a relay.

So i have a 94 4 runner. Directions say to use the black cable at the diags  box. Well that cant be done. So whats another place to do this at? Maybe at the distriboter or something?
