* On the 2.2L engine this wire is found at the distributor on the left side of the engine. On the 2.4L, the tach is found in the large split loom tube passing near the battery. On the 2.4 L4 engine, the tach is found at a connector on the top of the engine. (See exploded views)
** A variety of wires can be easily accessed at the vehicle's body control module found above the driver's kick panel. See the BCM diagram for details.
*** Driver's door is LT.GREEN/ BLACK (pin-A7 on violet plug at BCM). LT.BLUE covers all other doors (pin-A8 on violet plug at BCM). These wires should be isolated with 1N4001 diodes when connecting together. See the BCM diagram.
**** The vehicle may be equipped with a content theft-deterrent alarm system. This alarm cannot be armed or disarmed except with the factory transmitter. However, the system will disarm when the ignition is energized. Therefore, a remote starter can be added without any concern for disarming the factory alarm.
