Hey folks i have a 1999 ford F250 with a Rattler remote start.  ON my remoth there is a AUX buton and i was interested in making this button be able to run some step lights for my truck.  can anyone tell me if this can be done and how?

you should be able to do it with a latching relay.....im not sure how the rattler is setup...i dont use that brand....do the parking lights come on when you remote start the truck????
or you can use a relay to power up the lights anytime you remote start the truck....
unrelated question:
are you on the job??

Read over your instruction manual. You should be able to program the aux button/white and blue wire from the brain to latching. Meaning the wire goes to ground when you hit the button, and turns off when you hit it again. A relay will be needed to turn on something with a high amp draw like lights. You would also have to turn off the circuit everytime, otherwise it would stay on indefinately.
