well than yea the window mod will not work in velet mode cause that orange wire is disabled something this is weired and all you wires are plugged in ex" valet switch check to see if valet switch is ok unplug it from alarm use a dmm and set it to continuity  and place on prong on each of the two prong plug in adapter and than press button if you cat no noise there is a brake in the wire. if you do have car started and then replug the valet switch and play with it. you know that the car has to be in acc mode or runnning to take out of valet mode two clicks on key first click is not good enough.

yep...door triggers are connected.  they were working fine before I got stuck like this.  I tried opening the door, and using the remote to get out of valet, but the same thing happened (nothing).

HELP!!!
Ok, I did a little investigating. It turns out I was
stuck in Valet mode. Why I couldn't get out of it with
the Valet switch or the remote is still beyond me. Check
this out:
Tested the valet switch for continuity. Checked OK.
So I started looking at my install under the dash.
I was moving the relay satellite (for the RS), and the
doors tried to unlock. Huh? It turns out that
when I wiggled the wires under there, the doors tried
to unlock. It also turns out that it only did this when
the KEY was in the RUN position. So in other words,
somehow, one of the two IGNITION wires is giving
power to the door locks....either to the relay or to the
door wire on the alarm. I'M SO CONFUSED!!!!!
I was unable to isolate what was giving it power.
I checked the wires, and nothing that I could see was
exposed. But the part I don't get is what is being
power with the ignition wires that would do this? The
only thing that's connected to them is the Ignition wires
off the relay satellite.

Ok, I messed with it...messed with it some more, and then
some more. I was just trying to absolutely pinpoint
what was causing this. I think I may have narrowed it
down to the 5-pin remote start harness that goes from
the relay satellite to the brain. I tried to keep
everything very still, and just move this harness...and
it was sort-of setting off the door relay...so I think
this could be it. All 5 wires are taped up...so is it
possible that two of these wires are semi-stripped, and
are touching? But why would this cause the door locks
to unlock? Unless....maybe they're making the brain
think the car just shut off everytime, and so the doors
would open? That's a long shot, but all I could
think of for now. Hopefully, someone has an ide

Here's a little more info:  When I unplugged the 5-pin harness from the brain, it wouldn't create this error anymore (unlock the doors).  I'm so confused.

And yes, for the previous suggestions, I did have 12v at the yellow wire in the starter kill relay.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Ok, I think I may have "sort-of" narrowed this down.  When I jiggled the small yellow wire from the 5-pin harness and the larger pink wire from the relay satellite right where both of these are attached to the (same) relay in the relay satellite, the ignition power was cut (with the key in the ignition).  Therefore, the alarm thought the car was shutting off, and tried to unlock the doors (and turn on the dome light).  I turned off the ign-controlled door locks, and it stopped happening, but the domelight still came on.

I replaced that relay from the satellite and the domelight relay (just in case) and had the same problem....so I put them back in.  Can I have a defective relay....or could something else cause this problem?

HI,

Just to add a little more to this...I was able to get the car out of valet mode with the remote.  So that's ok now....still don't know why the valet switch wouldn't work.  Here's 2 other things that have happened though:

1.  When I remotely start the car.....walk up to the car and remotely unlock the doors and the domelight comes on....then enter the car, put the key in the ignition and step on the brake to turn off the remote starter....the domelight stays on for a little longer.  It used to shut off when I hit the brake.

2.  I was driving down the highway with the cruise control on.  When I hit the brake to turn off the cruise, the alarm went off!  Oi!!!

Ok, if anyone has anymore ideas, lemme knowCan't get out of valet mode - Page 2 -- posted image.
