I have several questions. Is there a remote starter system that will operate my security, memory system (seat adjust, mirror adjust, etc.), the same way my factory remotes do plus start my car. There are two factory remotes that are each unique in that they set everything to either the memory 1 or memory 2 settings. I am very tall and my wife very short, so this feature is something that I don't want to give up. I have called several installers in the area and have not found anyone that can make it all work from one remote. Also, is there any way to have the remote close my sunroof when I set the security system? I don't want to have to carry two remotes.

Thanks

Barry

Ask the shop U call for "Total Closure" on the Alarm

Not sure of hourly charges there.........
"Total Closure" is when U Lock vehicle, All doors Lock , Windows Roll Up, Sunroof Closes, Ignition / Starter is Interupted, etc.

That is the type I would be interested in. I can't figure out why the factory would not have the sunroof close when you set the security. I also don't understand why, as popular as remote starters are becoming they are not an option.

Some Vehicle manufacturers do have those options.........But consider how long it takes Detroit to offer a lot of things.  60,s Stereo & Vibrasonic, Sunroof, 70's was 8 track Quad, 80's Cassette, Keyless Entry, etc.,  90's CD, Alarm, etc., 2000's, Remote Start, Satellite, Alarm, etc.

I guess your right, but if they installed a remote starter at the factory they probably wouldn't have $50.00 per vehicle in it and would charge $300.00 plus for the option. I contacted my dealer about one and they wanted $455.00 to put one in that I would still have to carry an additional remote. He said it was a very small one though. I told him I figured someone could probably do it so I would only have to carry one.

You can install Alarm / Remote Start using your Factory remote, but the Factory Remote would have far less range than the Aftermarket, and the Aftermarket could utilize the options U R seeking

How much less rage do you think it would be? We mostly use the one in the other car for starting in the morning at home and if I bring it to work I use it at quitting time. At the house or here 100 - 150 ft would probably be plenty. How would I be able to use the factory remote? Would there be some way to use the panic button? I don't care about it anyway.

The JDL-PK saves for one setting and does all what you want:

Lock/Unlock, Driver priority unlock, Trunk, OEM security arm/disarm, Panic, Driver 1 memory setting & Transponder bypass: RF override through induction using loop antenna (Transponder included no key required)

The other options you can get an installer to do. Just have to find the one that will want to do it.
