e bay cheapo lcd alarm tach wire?

i think its a fm 2000 or something close to that.it dosnt have a tach wire listed in the crapy instructions.it just has a strange yellow wire coming from the side that is about 15 foot long.in the crapy directions it says its a 12 volt out put wire,i metered it and i dont get any thing from it.could this be my tach wire??its not in the harness with all the other wires,it comes straight from the case and is yellow and very long.

What are some other wires in the harness ? The YELLOW wire is an output which would not be for the tach signal. You need an INPUT for the tach signal for remote start.

the instructions for this thing really suck.all the other wires are basic,just usual stuff,but no tach wire,no ground when armed wire and there is a jumper on the brain,but no where in the directions does it say what that jumper is for??

That wire is probably just like the Phoenix digital, needs to see +12v before it will crank.

the car cranks,it just lets the starter go for a few seconds longer than i like,then shuts off after a 20-25 seconds.like its waiting on a tch signal,and because it dosnt see it,it shuts off,the dick i bought it from said he just sells them and has never installed on,yeepee!!

this is probably one of those units that will stop cranking when the particular wire sees a 12v signal.
