It's not the vehicle I'm concern with. Is the alarm brain the APS-786 that I'm talking about.

bdl666, sorry I can't answer your question....I don't install that brand. On DEI products there is a jumper on the brain you can switch the position of and it switches the parking light output to negative. Maybe your Prestige/Audiovox piece has something like that.
As about 3 others have stated, there is a positive parking light wire in the truck. No relays or resistors required. WHITE/ grey in harness going to junction block near parking brake. It only turns on the outside parking lights, not the dash lights. If you use the negative with resistor you will get the interior and exterior parking lights.

I was reading the manual (go figure) and found that you can connect the pk lights feed to ground so you can use it on a negative system .

That means that the system can be used on a negative pk lights system without the need for an extra relay. The things you learn when you actually read the entire manual instead of just using it as a reference to check what this or that wire is for.  I have installed dozens of these units and have never bothered to read the whole thing, I just read the part that tells you what the wire is for and skip the rest( the part that tells you what the wire does).

Thanks to everyone for your help. Next time I'll read the whole thing intead of just what I need.
