Bypass/Transponder in 04 Envoy

I just finished an install of an APS-996A in my Dodge Ram this weekend and it has worked flawlessly so far. As my next project, I'm installing the same in an '04 Envoy for my wife. Lurking around in this forum I found that I needed a security bypass ( passlock II) and a transponder. I bought an all in one unit the GMDL-BP to do the job.

#1, any tips from anyone who has installed security or remote Start on an Envoy your tips would be greatly appreciated. Esp, a wiring diagram.

#2, On this GMDL-BP module, it requires a "negative ground output when running (remote start installs only)" for operation. I've searched the product literature on the APS-996A and I've not found an output to do the task. I see a ground for 1.5s before start, or one for during crank or after start but none for "when running". Am I missing something? Is there another route?

Thanks Sparky. The module has its hardware and software version # on it. H2 S4. Do you know if its the correct one?

You can check the software version at www.bypasskit.com/manual.aspx?prodid=GMDL-BP&catid=14 It looks like you have a newer version. Also, don't tie the module into the dome light trigger. My wife has an 03 Trailblazer that has the domelight trigger and I used a similar model. Anytime I arm the alarm while the domelight is still on (if I just closed the door), the 2-way remote on my unit tells me the door is open. It's just annoying knowing it isn't done right. Pick up all 4 door triggers and diode isolate each.

Thanks again for the help. I finished the install on the envoy and the wiring diagram was very helpfull but I want to add a couple of things.  I didn't add in all the security connections, I really only wanted the remote start for cold weather. Also, reguarding the wiring diagram above, There is a second ignition wire "white" at the steering column. If your an amature installer like me DO NOT mess with the fuse box under the rear seat if you can help it, sensitive stuff back there. Finally, the parking lights and headlights can be very easily accessed at the light switch. They are (-) actuated. Also, for remote start, the (+) for break status is at the break switch.

A little time consuming but its done & the "wife approval factor" is high, especially now that its dropping to 0 F here in Anchorage.
