Does the theft light come on and stay on with the key as well? If it does then you put the immobilizer into a kind of valet mode. It can be reset.Certified Security Specialist

I've been sick lately, sorry I won't be on much.

I have a solid theft light, no matter if I use the key or if I use the remote. The car runs fine however, and all the electronics inside work. If my blue/black wire is seeing ground constantly instead of just durring remote start could this be the cause? If that is the case, I have no (-) durring remote start output on the alarm. Can I just hook it to the same wire my violet from the 555L is going to? And thanks again everone for taking the time to think about this. You guys rock.

Ive tried switching into and out of valet mode, and Ive checked my ground on the 555L that goes to the passlock ground, both are ok, but I still have the theft light on constantly, any other ideas?

Check the connections for the R-code wire. Then with the doors closed crank the car but don't start and let it sit with the key in run(without the car running) for 15-30 minutes and the light should shut off if the 555L is working. If it doesn't shut off then there could be something wrong with the 555L. To be sure of this hook both ends of the R-code wire back together and try the procedure again and if the light shuts off then there is a problem with the 555L.Certified Security Specialist
