Hmm, that could be "very poorly designed loudspeaker with a non-linear voice coil" if the footage depicts actual cone movement.

i saw a guy at a local competition start a fire inside his car while he was on the mike. he was running to pioneer 10's i think. there were actually flames! not too long ago a very good customer brought in his subs that were manufactured by a company with a very good warranty program. one of them was making a strage sound, and the model had changed since he bought them, so instead of sending one in and having him end up with two unmatched speakers i got out the extension cord. 110 straight from the wall makes some loud ass bass...for about ten minutes. we took one of the subs out of the box and lit it up hard. there wasn't nearly as much flame as there was somke, but it did burn a little.
