Remote Start on Manual Trans Car

I was going to install a remote start on my wife's 2000 Diesel Beetle w/manual trans. I have installed remote start on other vehicle w/no problem. Do they systems for a manual trans wire similar and I could do it or should I have a installer do it? I dont want to get in over my head if there is a lot of differance in installation. The difference is that you need to hook up the door triggers and ebrake wire and then bypass the clutch. So by that means you are not getting in over your head, but a VW, Diesel, manual Transmission all put together makes me think you should consider having it done professionally. There is a anti-theft device along with a factory alarm you need to bypass too. You need to run wires into the door for lock and unlock but they control arming and disarming. The other thing to consider is that with such an involved install, it will cost twice as much as a normal install so it might be worth your time. I would study up on everything you need to do before starting, then make your decision.
