Question On Bridging?

Ok i have 2 Dual 2 ohm voicecoil Audiobahn Eternal 12" subs. (1100 rms, 2200 peak) and a boss Pd-4000 watt amp(3000x1 @ 1 ohm, 4000x1 @ 1/2ohm) and i wanted to know that if i bridged the amp down to one ohm, would it distribute 3000 watts to EACH sub, or distribute it evenly? Very confused on the whole bridging thing.

it would distribute it evenly....you can run parallel series to get 2ohms or parallel parallel to get 1/2ohm...i don't know how u plan to get 1 ohm...Quad L Handyman services

And not to be a jerk, but I'd be VERY skeptical about that amp actually pushing a clean 3000x1 @ 1 ohm without frying itself in a matter of months. Run it at 2-ohms. Your ears will thank you. The amp probably won't break. New Project: 2003 Pathfinder

check out the series/parallel calculators available on this site. mess around with them and educate urself a little bit about ohms law it will come in handy. no you won't be able to get a 1ohm load using both subs. only a 2ohm load or a half ohm load.Quad L Handyman services

Is that because the subs are dual 2 ohm Vc? What kind of amp would you recommend thats chepa and powerful to run the subs?

OK... first off, to the amplifier. That amp only has 4 30A fuses in it, so it's maximum safe input current is 120 Amps, right? 120A X 14.4V = 1728watts IN! I want to know HOW IN THE HELL are you going to get 4000 watts out of a device when you are putting only 1728 watts IN (and what about the losses? is it a class D amp - at best 95% efficient - 1641 watts out, class AB, 50% efficient - 864 watts out) In typical Boss fashion, they are playing the BULLsh*t card, and they SAW YOU COMING!!! Did you get a kiss? This is why I say NEVER BUY those mass market, slave labor, chinesawan, import garbage, amplifiers. Now, to the possible loads with the drivers you have... 4 two ohm voice coils will net 8, 4, 2 or 1/2 ohm loads. If you are going to bridge this amplifier, and you want maximum output (shyah, right) you will have to go to the 2 ohm setting, which will be the voice coils on each woofer in series (2 + 2 = 4ohms) then parallel the two woofers (4 / 2 = 2ohms), then you can bridge the amp, for a net load of one ohm per channel. This will give you 3000 watts (see previous paragraph) and an overall efficiency from your amplifier of 173.6%! SWEET! Boss has figured out the answer to "power from NOTHING"!!!It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

What do you suggest then? cuz obviously your a genius when it comes to all this.. so help me out? what do u suggest?
