wonderin if someone can help me i have a 2003 mazda protege with a 5 speed i installed a r/s but i can't get the unit to start any ideas its like the unit is dead but when i enter ready mode and get out of the car the unit works i can shut it down no prob but when i go to start it theres nuthin??

Did you use a universal bypass module to bypass the Immobilizer key ? If the car stays running after you leave in ready mode, you have all the correct wires, it's the bypass that is not working. Also, if your not getting any response from the car after you remote start, make sure that you have the starter output of the remote start to the motor side of the starter disable relay ( if you installed it ).

i hear ya but there is no factory antitheft in this car just a plain old steel key but also there is a mazda alarm installed aftermarket i'm wonderin if this is the problem??

ae ya sayin the alarm might have astrt kill on it and thats why its not workin? i was maybe thinkin the parking brake wire may be positive instaed of neg i'll have to check tomorrow its a buddies car and i'm finishin it up tomorrow thanks jeff for any input
