ok i posted here a few weeks ago about my kicker l7s that i bought but were dvc 4ohm and wouldnt work with my mtx 1501d(2 ohm stable). i got these for 400 and went to return them for the dvc 2ohm ones and they didnt have them and are discontinuing kicker. So i am looking at these possibilities or any that you guys might have:
1 13" JL13w7: $649- Its a 3 ohm sub so will it work with my amp?
1 12" JL12w7: $559- DVC 4 ohm
1 12" MTX-T9512-44: $599.97- DVC 4 ohm
1 12" Alpine Type X: $450- DVC 4 ohm
1 12" Rockford Fosgate Power Stage 2: $699- DVC 4 ohm
2 10" Rockford Fosgate Power Stage 1: $700(a pair)- DVC 2 ohm
2 10" MTX-T8510: $700(a pair)-DVC 2 ohm
2 12" Kicker L7: $600(a pair)- DVC 2 ohm
These are the subs i have currently narrowed it down to.....i am looking for something that is clean but can really pound....I do not plan on competing or anything I just want it to be loud...I used to have 2 polk momos hooked up to it and was satisfied until i blew one of them.....I would like it to be louder than that. i have heard the L7s and both Mtxs listed and they all pounded hard.....i have had no experience with jl but have heard great things so any input is helpful and appreciated.....and if there is anything elso you would recomend please tell me....thanks

To my knowledge JL don't make a 12w7 DVC, they're all 3ohm SVC. The 13w7 is dual 1.5.
What other impedances can your amp run at?
I have not heard any of the other brands first hand so I shouldn't advise.
What's that flippie??

If you're looking for clean sounds..the kickers would not be the way to go...although they will get loud

Also the JL's are very good subs but everything they sell is very high priced..you pay extra money just for the name IMO..I would check into the Adire Brahma's or RE XXX's...they both get extremely loud with great sq. If you're willing to sacrafice a little SQ I believe the RE SX's will get just as loud as the XXX's.

Take a look at MMATS subs. They are as great blend of SPL and SQ. I dont know if you will have much luck finding them for sale online, as they only sell them through authorized dealers, so look for a shop in your area that sells them. Here is their ctalog in pdf format.

thanks guys......i thought about the XXXs but i heard that re was backorderd out the a**.  Also how much do the XXXs run a piece and what ohm load are they.....And i know that no shops around my area cary MMATS.....the subs i listed above were pretty much the best i can get from a local store w/  the exception of the rockford but i can order that of crutchfield if i wanted to......Im always paranoid about ordering stuff off line plus with most of the subs i listed i can get a warranty where if i blow them or anything i can get a new one.....Also do you think if i went with one of the single sub setups i listed above it would be as loud or louder than the dual sub setups or my old polk setup.....the reason i ask is because if it was i could always use the trunk space.....Anyone else have anything.......Thanks

The general opinion I have gotten from most people, and myself for sure, is that the type X was a dissapointment. I have always been really happy with MTX and the 9500's are a really amazing sub.
