Lost and Confused

  in subwoofer installs you should hook the rca'sm to the rear make sure you do not use the bus audio in.  SInce it sounds like you have a sony try a different deck sonys have a lower voltage preout.  If that still doesn't work start from scratch is the amp turning on are the gains up are the rca's plugged into the inputs on the amp are the subs wired properly remember two 8 ohm subs bridged are 4ohms but 2 ohms at the amp because you cut it in half so two 4 ohm subs are 2 ohms briged and 1 ohm at the amp most amps are not rated to handle 1 ohm or even 2 ohms in bridged mono.  After you install the new 4g. wire and scrape new ground try a new set of rcas cheapies from radio shack are good to test if there is still nothing you might have a disconnected speaker wire in the box  hope I could help good luckonesmoothchevy

  Also make sure to check your  battery and alternator the battery is the cars biggest capacitor and the car won't stay running without a good one.onesmoothchevy

well i got it fixed, i just kept messing with wires and it turned out alright, thanks for all the help, my alternator is a 70 rating
