I couldnt think of a better name for this thread. If you go to RF's main page right now they have a link  that compares old RF amps with the new ones. The compare things like te Punch 60 DSm to the Punch 5002 and the Punch 45.2 to the Punch 2002. The Idea is to show that the old stuff wasnt better than the new stuff, it was just perception. They do make an intro to the article trying to explain that the point sint to sh*t on the old stuff but simply show the advances they have made. My problem with it is that for example they compare the Punch 60 DSM to the Punch 5002. The 60 as a retail of 429 while the 5002 has a retail of 399. BUT THE DAMN RETAIL OF THE 60 IS FROM 11 years ago. Thats just a stupid way to pair them up for comparison. They are all like that though. They used price to match them up and the new stuff comes out on top every time. Well no sh*t it does, being that the old amps were a higher quality build the materials were more expensive and the overall manufacturing process was more expensive so of course the amps were more expensive. I just saw this little comparrison and I though it was so stupid it had to be wrote about. Mabye I am off my rocker though and someone can set me strait, I dunno.

I sent the email to them bfore I posted the original message on here. If I have something to say I will get it off my chest right away. Sometimes it bites me in the ass but I guess thats the price you pay for being opinionated.

The new Fosgate amps do suck. My friend had a 1200 watt amp that actually pushed 400 watts. The only way that amp would put out 1200 watts is if it was struck by lightning.

rockford went down hill when they started selling at abc and best buy. i used to run one of their older amps and it was solid. i've since installed a couple of their newer ones and they are garbage. kicker is going to do the same in a couple of years i bet. just like sony did, and pioneer, and jvc....the list goes on. remember the fosgate symetrey? so far ahead of technology for the time, and now they are making 400 watt 1200watt amps. they rate their stuff with the ILS factor....If Lighting Strikes...total sh*t. i hate to see that hapen to such a reputable company.
