but he states he didn't use any additive just straight resin and fleece is all he used, I myself have used thickeners in resin myself, works great if you use it, I don't think this guy did though, if he did then it should be strong but he never said he did

The guy said that he bought fiberglass mat, but decided NOT to use it, and that his enclosure is rock solid. He also said he's getting rave reviews from everyone about it, even other "seasoned" fiberglass guys from other forums. A "seasoned" fiberglasser would know that you have to use some form of fiberglass to create a fiberglass enclosure. I understand about the resin additives, but I don't think its appropriate for first timers, nor the average DIYer. Now this guy has other people on that forum thinking that he found a new way to fiberglass, just using fiberglass resin and blankets. This makes me sad.

I have made small pieces with fleece using only resin and no other additives.
I used a lot of resin and it completely drenched the fleece and actually was dripping through.
Afterwards its a very thick piece of cloth. If you think about it, it's possible with some weak hitting subs.
Since fabric is basically the same thing as fiberglass cloth right?
