I just purchased one of these for my wifes Acura.  I am having a problem with it.  I can not ge tthe remote start to work.  From reading this forum, I think it is because I have not set the engine checking type.  I throught the Green wire would just start it, regardless of engine check setup, my bad. I do have the BLACK/ White wire grounded.

However, I have NOT installed the key transponder.  Should the car start with the remote, if there is a key in the ignition?  Why isn't the transponder plug compatible with the 2500?  I still have not figured out how to hook it up.

If anyone from Commando reads this forum, the manual, connector layout, lack of crimps and looms are a BIG disappointment. Without looms, the installation would look like a rats nest.  I say this as a customer, and a computer engineer that has designed dozens of products.

TIA, for advise, Carl

I jus did 1 of those 2500's and couldn't get the remote start 2 work. Wut u need to do is change the engine checking type to voltage checking, on these units that works best. And yes, it should remote start with a key in the ignition

Oh and buy the way you can use electrical tape to to put around the wires if you don't have loom. Just wrap all the wires 2gether to make a harness. It looks very nice

Mobile security,

Thanks for you help.  I did get it to start (with a key in the ignition) after I set the no start checking. and one second start.  Furtunatly I had a lot of loom of various diameters.

Still waiting for free time to finish the install of the transponder.  Wish me luck!

Carl
