Box tune for SQ?

Hi everyone,
Need to ask about port tuning...35 hertz would that consider to high for SQ?????

what sub and car? what other speakers are in the car..? why ported? unless its a suv thats prob. to much volume

Sub = Pioneer 305C
Car = Camry Widebody
Front Speaker = 4 " none name speaker
Box size = 2.8 cu ft
Why ported??? Coz i only got 150rms for the 400rms sub!!!

3x6.5deep..tuned to 36hzthat box is just a little big for single sub ported.. well for that sub.. but it will work..

Ok atm i am running 150RMS for my 400RMS sub, how much diff if i upgrade the amp and run say 400-500RMS ???
Would there be HUGE diff, else i rather keep it like this now !

If you went from a sealed to ported enclosure, then went to say a 600 watt amp. your would get a gain of 9db and maybe a little more from cabin gain.   But For SQ I would really go with a sealed box, Or if you are going ported use a slot ported box, and use a program where you can find out your vent speed. Like Win Isd.   I would not tune above 35 hz. I am tuned personally to 32 hz for daily driving

BUT will 150RMS enought for daily use when building a seal box??? I really like boomy sound...not really want it to be loudest as possible!

i run 100rms to two mb quart 12's and it gets plenty loud....soon to be 150 clean rms.

If you want boomy bass...you dont want SQ.    SQ is tight responcive bass.  you want SPL sound.  I suggest making a folded horn,  the box will be big, and the lower power is a must.  BUT if built right it'll be really awesome sounding.

I need quality equipment, feel free to donate.
