I have a 2002 Sebring Convertible with a CodeAlarm elite 911 series installed. It has keyless capability but it is not hooked up. When hooking it up, do I just cut right into the door lock/unlock wires (+) at the BCM or do I have to pull the door panel off and find out what kind of positive door lock system it is first?

in your car you havce a multiplex system meaning that you have on wire that controls locks and unlocks yes you can get the wire at the bcm but you will need relays one for lock and one for unlock and than you will need resistors.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

Thanks! I appreciate your help. I had a few other questions. When I hook the 12V fused up to the relays can I hook all them up to the ignition switch harness on one fuse? If so, how many amps should the fuse be? If not, how should I do it?

Also, for the trunk pop, do I need a relay? If so, should I hook it up at the BCM or at the trunk switch? Also, what polarity is the trunk release in this vehicle? My wiring diagram does not tell me.
