I am going to be doing an install on a 1998 Silverado. The way the stereo is laid out is with the am/fm receiver on the top, and an entire seperate unit underneath that, JUST for the CD(but the cd contsols are still on the am/fm unit). My question is:

Can I use just a regular deck for this?

Do I need any special install accessories?

I've just never seen this before, so I'm at a loss at what to do. Thanks all for reading.

You'll need either the Scosche GM1483B dash kit or Metra 99-3002 dash kit. The CD player down below will just stay in place, but will not be usable with the aftermarket head unit.
