I fiberglassed a gauge pod to my a-pillar and that went really well, but when it came time to cover it, I had some problems with the seam.  The material I found that matches my interior perfectly doesn't stretch much if any, it's just enought to wrap around curves if I pull it real tight.  Since it doesn't stretch, there has to be a seam.  This is just headliner material with about 1/8" foam backing.  Any tips for doing the seam better next time?

humm, is there a way to remove the foam backing? I would think that that would allow for a little more flexablity in the material. Anyway, just food for thought.

It took 4 trys to get that above.  when I was ripping off one of the previous attemps, the backing came off so I played with it a bit, it wasn't any stretchier.  I think I'm just going to try and make a nicer cut next time.  I'll be starting on mine this weekend.
