I plan to install the Viper 791xv in an envoy next weekend, along with a PLDATA-III from crimestopper, and the 455g from dei.  I've read through the forum but haven't seen much in regards to adding an aftermarket alarm, to replace the existing factory alarm. I am pretty sure it is an SLT so I should be able to disable it.  Does anyone have any more detail in regards to which wires on the 455g I should use, and which I should wire traditionally...e.i. the door triggers, domelight...etc. Thanks

455G should do everything for you.... just hook it up like the instructions say and off you go.... it will do locks, arm/disarm and dome....

ok, I am skepticle because I seem to remember reading in other posts that wiring the trigger to the 455g created an interference and the arm would not work correctly because the dome light would still be on, or something of that sort.

the 455 holds back the domelight for 10 seconds from the alarm... allowing it to shut off before making a connection to the alarm circuit... it works fine most of the time.....

some other things, does the 455g take into account the hood and trunk triggers individually...so that they show up correctly on the 791xv lcd remote?  I see some listings for a factory hoodpin switch in the wiring charts, is this on all models or just certain envoy's?
