I just installed my temp sensor in my compustar alarm/remote starter. I programed the unit to turn on the sensor.(I & II) then (IV) 7 times, wait 7 chrips, then press (II)got 2 chrips. I have a few questions.
All that i have to do is hit (II & IV) to turn on timer mode and it will pick up the signal from the temp sensor, and use that instead of starting every 1.5 hrs, correct? I know there is an icon on my remote for the cold start, will that only light up if the remote start is activated because the temp has dropped below the setting? It also say some stuff in the manuals about it can accept a signal every 1.5 or 3.0 but it says no where how to change that feature. I would like to set that to 3hrs because the default is 1.5. Anyone know how to do that? The unit I have is the CM3000
Thanks

I have the same alarm and I want to install the temp sensor, I just can't find it anywhere, not even on ebay.

Can you tell me where to get one?

Thanks.

The CM3000 requires the system to be programmed to operate with the cold start sensor and you set the programming to 1.5 or 3 hours between cold starts. It's in the manual in the installation guide.

Would the dei modules allow me to see the car's temp on the 2-way remote.  I think this is also a feature for this alarm, when you query the alarm from the 2-way remote it displays what the temp is outside.  I think this is also a neat feature.
