problems with my fuel pump relay

i got a 97 eclipe and my fuel pump wont kick on when i turn the switch on but i dont know what is wrong the pump works i know but i can put the pump on a switch and it will crank but it wont with the relay it is a brand new relay and i done tried everything if any one knows what i can do let me know please

See if there is a fuel pump diode, chances are its fried.  Do you have a Chilton manual or something for your car that shows wiring schematics ?  If not spend the $20 and get one, it will save you a lot headaches.

The Diode is usually close the the pump.
