Does anyone know what kind of circuit would need to be thrown together in order to make my engine immobilizer unlock with a keypad rather than a magnet? Thank you in advance.

Its a 2001 mustang, and there is an alarm, factory, so you have to push the button in order to make noise.

If the system is using the magnetic flux, or gauss to turn off the circuit, as in the key you have. You will have to introduce the same magnetic field in your new key pad design.
Knowledge is power. But only if you apply that knowledge in a positive way, which promotes positive results in others.

Alright. Thank you very much for your help. It turns out it is a little more comlplicated than I had expected, so I am going to have to rethink this idea.
