I would not recommend the banpass at all. What speaker is it? the Brahma?

What do you want? loud bass, or smooth sq oriented bass?

I would recommend the ported box, and since that woofer is touted as a sq woofer it should still sound clean... and play loud.

Go ported if you want to get a little louder. The brahma can be bought direct form adire (adireaudio.com) I dont think it can be gotten any cheaper on anywhere but maybe ebay. I would not recommend buying it from ebay though, just buy direct from Adire.

Brahma all the way...
Besides, if you read their website, you'd see that their power ratings are different for different box sized, as with any subwoofer (1300 watts for a .62 cu.ft. box, vs only 500 watts for a 2.1cu.ft. box)
But, I'd go with a sealed box. They get plenty loud, plus they offer far better SQ. I run a ported box now. Not only was it a pain to build (because of all calculations), but I wish I went sealed so my bass would be tighter.
