How you guys doing. I had a problem the other day, after installing a flip down TV/DVD into a 2005 Armada the Airbag light came on. While installing the only things I took apart were the dash for FM modulator and the overhead to mount the TV/Run cables. Any ideas how I can reset the light, beacuse the customer came back and said the dealer wants like $1000 for reset, since he is not covered by warranty after the "aftermarket" TV install.
If you have any ideas, pointers or even directions to other websites aI would very much appreciate your help. Thanks.

that sucks. you learned a lesson about Nissan. when you have the dash off and the airbag indicator disconnected you cannot cycle the key. I don't know why Nissan makes that a hard code and needs to be resetted at the dealership.

Man this sux because I've done a few of those already but this is the first one to come back. I tried disconnecting the battery for 10 min. but it didn't reset.
Is there any other way you guys know of to solve this? And is the dealer being an ass for saying $1000 for reset?

It cannot be reset any other way then going to nissan. Has to be done with their scanner.

Thanks for the replies guys. If the only way to reset is from dealer, is it reasonably that he's asking $1000 for the job? Seems ridiculous to me.
Outtaluck, just for my future reference, you said that I probably tripped the light by turning the ignition on with the airbag light disconnected? It's just I haven't had this kind of a problem before, and if I did, it went away with a simple reset.
Thanks again.

Yes, it can be reset by cycling the key... Go to www.titantalk.com and go the HOW TO/FAQ section.. I have reset this several times on my Nissan Titan..

Thanks a lot guys I hope it works. For some reason the car hasn't come in yet, but I appreciate all of your responses.
