yeah i tried that already and plus i installed two new speakers in the back.  maybe you guys can let me kno' if i did this correctly.  i hooked it up as follows:

Description:                         Vehicle Wire Color:                   HU Wire Color:

Right Rear Spkr (+)              Red w/ Yellow Stripe                     Purple

Left Rear Spkr (+)                Blue w/ Yellow Stripe                    Green

Power Antenna Trigger         Brown w/ White Stripe                   Blue or Blue w/ Wht Stripe (i have both blue and blue/white wires, so i tied them together.  not sure if this is necessary cause i don't have a power antenna, so these two wires [blue and blue/white are currently not connected to anything, but each other.  even when i tied both to the BROWN / white wire of the vehicle it did not work.  i still think it has something to do with these wires.  but not sure...the internal hu amp shouldn't need the remote amp on wire [blue/white] to turn it on...right?)

+12 Volt Ignition Wire           Yellow w/ Red Stripe                     Red

Right Rear Spkr (-)                Brown w/ White Stripe                  Purple w/ Black Stripe

Left Rear Spkr (-)                  Gray w/ White Stripe                    Green w/ Black Stripe

Ground Wire                         Black                                         Black (would it make a difference if i tied this to the chassis instead???)

+12 Volt Battery Wire            White w/ Yellow or Blu Stripe       Yellow

Dash Light Dimmer Wire       Orange                                        N/A

Left Front Spkr (+)                 Blue w/ Green Stripe                    White

Right Front Spkr (+)              Red w/ Green Stripe                     Gray

Left Front Spkr (-)                 Gray w/ Black Stripe                    White w/ Black Stripe

Right Front Spkr (-)               Brown w/ Black Stripe                  Gray w/ Black Stripe

still no sound...getting FRUSTRATING!!!

if at any time the blue wire grounds out then then outputs on the deck burn out. turn the radio on and test the blue wires, if they have no voltage output then the deck is bad. always crimp off any blue output wire that is not used.
