precisely - if it's pioneer, other brands may vary depending how signal goes thru and the pinout of the plug. If you have something else, try to find the name of the protocol (ex: pioneer IP-BUS, Alpine AiNet)
i'm curently using my IP-Bus to hook up the sound card from my carPC, works awsome

Thanks. I did some research but was unable to find any information on hacking the cd changer input on an eclipse head unit. If i'm able to do so, I will probably get a cd3413. Does anybody know how to hack that cd changer input?
Think about it first.

Ya, there is an adapter for it, at least thats what my local dealer told me previously because I was in the same position as you, I just havent decided on my next head unit yet.

Ah, no, I hope I caught you in time. The NEW, repeat NEW Eclipse head units are out and the CD5435 is the cd player for you. Should come in at about the price range you are interested in. www.eclipse-web.com
