Hiya,
I have a Clifford ACG garage door opener.
Its the generation right before G4.
Question is, how do I delete all the remotes from its memory?
I tried what the manual says to push the remotes out by programming up the 8 slots. I've tried, but it doesn't seem to work.
Is there a trick to this?
Thanks!

You need a throw away remote control and program that one in 8 times. Now the unit will only work with that throw away remote. You bust that one up so it is then no longer useable and your good ones do not work it.

It's one of those things, you need a remote to clear out the other ones.

The only other option is send it back to have the remotes cleared. Chances are they will use a remote they have, program it in 8 times and hopefully that remote will never get close to your reciever.

Hmmm, I tried that with another remote.
The only thing that happened was that it actived another channel on the receiver. It has 3 receiving channels.
i.e. it was programmed with channel 1, now its shifted to channel 3.
Not sure how this deleting or pushing works.

Ignore all previous answers.

This is how you do it:

1. Remove power from the unit.

2. Press the blue program, and and KEEP PRESSING IT.

3. Re-connect power.

Done. All remotes have been cleared.

Hiya OmarR,
That's funny you should say that.
Yesterday I read the manual for the current version, the Directed 519H Garage Door interface.
In there, they detail a Zap Feature. This is the delete all procedure. Which is what you mentioned, press the program button and then power-up. Its deletes all the remotes. Its an undocumented feature missing from the Clifford ACG manual.
Worked like a charm.
Thanks!
