Get the Alpine MRD-M501, which can handle 550 w rms and is around $300. Good for bass.

Stay away from most of the 2005 series of alpine amps.

Dont you think any other 600W RMS amp will give me more bass than 550W RMS Alpine MRD-M501??

And shouldn't I exactly match the RMS power to my subs (which is 600W RMS)?

Any other suggestions other than Alpine MRD M501?

The alpine MRD M501 will rip apart those sony subs, were talking real power going to crappy subs.  The sonys are made to handle Sony power, , which is greatly over exadurated.

Not to start a rukis again ( like last week ) but where can you get an M 605 Alpine amp for $ 215 with a warranty? I don't know about the UK but in the USA there are NO authorized  Alpine dealers on the internet. With a completely new amp design as the M-605 is, I sure as heck would want a warranty.

Hi, I got that offer from a high rated eBay seller.

Its quite good, but I might be buying the MRD-M501 just to be safe!

A few more feedbacks would be helpful......

Good call !!

If you buy Alpine on the Net -- you will have ZERO warranty -

There are no Authorized Alpine Dealers on the Net  - These Amps Are Great -- but with anything new - there might be glitches-
