Hi, I hope any of you can help me with my trunk release wiring problem.

I recently installed a matrix 1 alarm in my car and I want to add a relay to open the trunk with the remote. My car has a factory release button, so the only thing I need is the relay, but the alarm gives a negative output and my selenoid needs a 12 volt(+) output, here is where my questions come: Can I do this with a simple 12 volt 5 pin relay? How would I conect the wires? Please help. I am not an expert in electrical wiring but I get arround somewhat. I you have a diagram it would be even better, if not, that is cool.

Jose

Thank you so much.

If that doesn't make sense ask questions. Lots of expert here to help you out.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.Trunk release relay -- posted image.
