What is going on with this system?

I installed this system maybe 3 weeks ago. It worked fine for about a week and a half. Then the person who I installed it for took it out and somehow when he connected the amp back the amp was not reading the ground (when you tested the ground it has a positive power give off). At this time I changed the ground to a different place and the system worked fine for about another week or so. Now the fuse by the battery broke, and I changed it. The next day it broke again, should I get another fuse and try again or should I just send this Sony 1600 watt amp to their crappy factory. Anyone any idea?

Its a 8 gauge power wire and I am not sure what size it the fuse but it came with the kit and I replaced it with the same one or even a little stronger from the store. (its one of the thick ones not the tiny one)

your  amp is toast.....too small guage power wire won't cause the amp ground to show voltage.....its an internal problm. And yes, even for that little "1600 watt" sony....8 guage is too small!
